Grandpa Jacks Barber Shop

My Grandfather opened a barber shop over 50 years ago with my dads brother (my Uncle Ed). My Uncle is retiring and closing the shop on Sat April 30th. We decided to surprise him and visit the shop one last time. A fun (and sad) day was had by all.

 I never thought it would happen, new everything, countertops, back splash, floors, paint, baseboards, trim. YEA and I love it.

We've had a great time hunting this year, We get to hunt next Sunday and Monday then sadly the season is over till next year.

Winter update

 Hello Everyone,
    Here are a few photos that I thought you might like to see...
  This is Rufus, he had the flu, wouldn't even get up to eat. He's better now.

 This was a bone Lucky brought back home one morning at 6 AM when I let him out . He looked like he had won the lottery!!! I'm not sure who's dog he took it from, or exactly how to return it, so we still have it, or should I say half of it.

 Blizzard of 2011!!!! Very fun to stay home and play with the dogs. (Even though it was my scheduled day off) Also glad I pay people to shovel on days like today (Association fees)but my friend Karen says shoveling burns lots of calories.

Its been along time

 It's hunting time again. Rufus pointed his first bird this year,(I'm so proud) and Lucky is a great hunter as always.

 This is Mikes new house in Arkansas, we call it the Clown house. It sits on 20 acres of rolling hills.

 This is my friend Diane's new puppy Larry.

 My new favorite food from Kim and Tom. Flat bread Kim rolls out and Tommy cooks on the Grill, topped with home grown peppers and feta cheese. Yummy

 Went to the farm with Tommy and all four dogs to walk and feed the bee's.

 I also had another birthday, had a great party with family. New hunting boots from everyone, I really needed warm boots.

I'm kind of a homebody, so not too much goes on with me, but here are a few photos of the last month.

Work

Not so much fun at work!!!! Thursday is truck day at the Mountain. Everyone has to help unload the truck, then we have one day to get all of the freight out onto the sales floor. YUK. Some freight has been stuck in customs for a few weeks, well it arrived TODAY. As you can see it was stacked to the second floor of our stock room, what you don't see is that it's 15 feet deep. Glad that I'm OFF  Friday and Saturday!!!!

week in review

last week....

My mom surprised me with lunch at work, our favorite egg salad and triple chocolate donuts. And a really cute Tiger stuffed animal. Thanks Mom. A cool Bon Fire with a friend. I love the cooler weather, and am looking forward to the fall. Jeff had to leave work in and ambulance after hurting his back.  I also finally finished long overdue gifts for friends. I also found out that I have to go on a three day training trip for Gander, I'm very upset about leaving my boys. A friend said he would watch them at his house so I have been taking them over there to get used to his house. Rufus loves doing laps in the pool.

Fun at work!!!! The guys at Gander think it's really fun to scare the girls all the time, but Ben really got Wendy good yesterday. Ben hid in a footwear box, and as you can see jumped out of it at the perfect time.
